Itinerary

Your guide will pick you up from the Alila Mangiss Lobby and lead you to the Goa Lawah Caves via car.

The Goa Lawah Caves are located 15 kilometers southwest of Alila Mangiss and is filled with thousands of bats in the dark. It also has a small temples at the entrance which is especially vibrant during ceremonies and festivals as crowds of kneeling devotees come here to pray and offer their respects. After this, head to the Kusamba Salt Pans which Is famous for its organic sea salt. Observe the making of it as they sprinkle seawater over black sand to obtain concentrated salt.

After a unique experience, head back to the Alila Mangiss.

  • We do not recommend this tour for pregnant women and the differently able as the floors of the caves can be slippery and requires extreme caution. We advise you to wear comfortable shoes with good grips for the tour. We do not recommend this tour for people with a fear of bats and claustrophobia.
