Meet your guide at the Alila Uluwatu Lobby and begin your cultural journey of Bali through artistic work.
Start by learning a basic melody on a traditional Balinese instrument called rindik followed by a few basic steps of the Balinese dance form. The Balinese people hold great pride with their culture, and your professional guide will teach you authentic Balinese dance steps to move your body gracefully with soothing music from the Gamelan playing in the background.
After this, make a traditional Canang Sari which is a small leaf-basket with flowers and incense sticks. It is a Hindu offering made to the Gods by Balinese locals every day with the belief that the essence (sari) of their prayers will be carried to the heavens. Present your offering at the local temple within the grounds of Alila Uluwatu.
After a stimulating experience, head back to your Alila room with memories and practical knowledge of the Balinese culture.
