Meet your guide at the Alila Uluwatu Lobby and begin your journey to explore the many landmarks of Bali while trekking through the flawless natural setting and pristine surroundings. Start with the Penunggun Karang Shrine within hotel grounds and continue across a dry river bed through the tropical forest to reach your first landmark – the Beji Temple. Known for its beautiful carvings, the temple dates back to the 15th century and is the village’s central temple. Trek further up to the cliff where you can view the famous Nyang Nyang Beach, although it is less traveled to due to the long trek required to reach it. However, this makes the beach a unique and special place to visit.
After this, trek down 500 steps through the limestone hillside, spotting local flora along the way. Refresh yourself with fresh coconut and a Nasi Jingo, a traditional dish, served on a banana leaf. On arrival at Alila Uluwatu, you will receive a 60-minute foot reflexology treatment to refuel your legs after a long trek.
