Once you are done with a hearty breakfast, slip into comfortable clothes and walking shoes as you will be trekking through plantations and forests. Pack light and reach the lobby of your hotel a few minutes in advance, in order to keep to the schedule.
Your transfer will take you to the starting point by 9:00 AM allowing you to complete the registration for the trek. During your trek, you will walk through Taro, an ancient Hindu village in Bali, as your guide takes you through the traditional customs, rituals, and culture, also showing you the oldest temple structure on the island. All nature lovers will love the walk through the boundless rice paddy fields and bamboo forest as you observe the timeless practice of planting and harvesting. King and Queen palm trees, wild orchids, ferns, and hanging liana are some of the flora that grows here, while you can spot birds such as the Black Bali Starling and the Java Kingfisher.
Emerge from the hidden trails of the jungle to enjoy exclusive passage through the Mason Elephant Park and Lodge where you will walk just a few feet away from the endangered Sumatran elephants. You will also pass coffee, coconut and palm plantations en-route, along with exotic tropical fruits such as mangoes, mangostene, salak, jackfruit, mandarin, and papaya. You will get the opportunity to sample spices such as turmeric, cinnamon, and ginger directly from their source.
After trekking for almost one and a half hours, stop by 11:15 AM for an appetizing lunch at Koko Bambu restaurant. Enjoy a sweet ending to an adventurous trek with a visit to the Mason chocolate factory attached to the restaurant, at 1:00 PM. Depart from the Koko Bambu restaurant by 2:00 PM as the driver will drop you back to your hotel safely.
