The Bali museum showcases antique Balinese customary and religious ceremonial equipment, art, and culture development history.


The Bali Museum in Denpasar was built in 1931, by architect P.J. Moojen. The museum comprises four main buildings including Tabanan that displays theatrical masks and musical instruments, Karangasem with sculptures and paintings, Buleleng with textiles and Timur with archaeological finds.

Some of the interesting things you’ll find at the museum are Balinese art goods, ancient manuscripts that concern the temple in Bali, the Wayang Kulit painting (shadow puppet painting) and agricultural equipment, weapons and ritual equipment along with plenty other prehistoric objects.
