Also Known as Arch of Cabo San Lucas for its peculiar structure, El Arco is a unique rock formation at the southern tip of Cabo San Lucas. Located at the convergent point of the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean, this distinct arch-shaped rock is one of the major attractions in Los Cabos. This shape is caused by the harsh wind and cutting ocean waves crashing on this karst. This limestone arch lies in the mid of the ocean and is only accessible via waterways. The most popular time to visit El Arco is during sunset when the slanted rays of mellow sun fall on the stone, and nature’s canvas is beautifully painted in the shades of blue, yellow and orange. People like hire a kayak and paddle around in the water, or gear up and snorkel in the shallow waters, exploring the place at their own pace. If you get lucky, you might also get to see humpback whales, sea lions, and brightly colored tropical fish.
