Encompassing a cluster of water villas and island sanctuaries set within a lagoon of crystal clear waters and dotted by pristine beaches, all within lush tropical greenery, the Soneva Jani stands tall on the Medhufaru lagoon; the largest of the five islands in the Noonu Atoll. Each water villa opens to a stretch of lagoon and has a private pool. Some of the villas feature slides from the top floor that directly land into the lagoon. With several dining options and cuisines, the hotel also houses its own cheese room, chocolate room and ice-cream room!
The hotel is a ‘no shoes’ property. Guests are asked to remove their shoes on arrival, which are then slipped into a linen bag until their departure. The hotel is a 40-minute seaplane ride from Male International Airport and 1-hour by speedboat from Soneva Fushi; Soneva Jani’s sister resort. The property has a mandatory Gala Dinner on December 24, and December 31, for which an additional charge will need to be paid at the hotel.
The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) has recognized the efforts of the Maldives in implementing enhanced health and safety measures, in line with the WTTC global Safe Travels protocols and creating a safe plan by rebuilding confidence among travelers and ensuring a coordinated approach in restarting the Tourism industry.
