Elated with enormous glittering Lanna-style roofs, the Wat Phra Singh is immaculately designed. It holds three main structures where the main attraction being the elegant murals depicting the lifestyle of localities back in the days. Being a fine example of Lanna architecture it features soaring wing-shaped roofs, intricate wood carvings and a glorious Buddha image in a graceful ‘lion style’. Hundreds of pilgrims’ flock here all around the year especially during the Thai New Year (Songkran) in mid-April. Another worth structure visiting here would be the library (Haw Trai) that gives a glimpse into the rich Lanna temple art. The hall is bedecked with beautiful stucco figures, red-hued wooden hall with Buddhist scriptures.
