Wat Plai Laem is a Chinese-Buddhist temple in Koh Samui with two magnificent statues of gods situated in the center of a lake.

Situated in midst of a lake, Wat Plai Leam is a holy place with vibrant colors and 12 meters high statue of Chinese-Buddhist Goddess Guanyin. Devotees and tourists come here to pay homage and behold the serene and spiritual atmosphere. The large statue of the Goddess Guanyin with eighteen hands symbolizes her mercy, compassion and unconditional love for her children. Another remarkable feature of Wat Plai Leam is the giant 30 meters tall Chinese Laughing Buddha statue above a ceremonial hall for the monks. Decorated in traditional Chinese style with walls adorned with crimson and gold paintings, the temple has very soothing energy.
