Itinerary

Kickstart your morning and gear up for a fun-filled one as you will be visiting the incredible island of Koh Samui. You will have to make your way to the Koh Samui port, from where you will be picked up in a private air-conditioned van. Your first stop will be the Wai Plai Laem- a beautiful Buddhist temple that perfectly depicts ancient Thai-Chinese architecture and is home to giant statues of the Guanyin and the Laughing Buddha. Here you can spend some time to marvel at the stunning architecture and learn a little about the artist who designed the temple- Phumdonming, who was Thailand’s most renowned artist. You will then head to the Big Buddha Temple, locally known as Wat Phra Yai. Located near a beach town called the Big Buddha Beach, the temple features a gold-painted 12-metre-high statue of Buddha and is a major tourist landmark attraction. Just a few kilometres away from here is the Chaweng Viewpoint which is also known as Lat Ko viewpoint. The location serves as an amazing, picturesque spot nestled between the Lamai and Chaweng beach. It also provides unsurpassable views of the sunrise on the Chaweng bay. You can admire the lovely surroundings here and get some really good photographs. You will then be taken to explore the Hin Ta (Grandfather) and Hin Yai (Grandmother) rock formations that feature a unique set of nature carving itself around the lives of its occupants. Shaped like the male and female genitalia, this sight has naturally given rise to a legend explaining how the rocks came into being. Close to Hin Ta and Hin Yai is a small white-sand beach offering a refreshing place to refresh and cool your tired feet. The crystal-clear waters here also make colourful marine life visible from the surface. You can relax here for a while as you take in the tranquil surroundings. Once you’re done refuelling on some energy, get ready to experience a fun-filled Monkey Theatre Show, wherein a bunch of trained monkeys will be your source of entertainment by demonstrating unique tricks and stunts. One of the most popular tricks is that of the monkeys harvesting coconuts. After this fun and refreshing show, you will be visiting one of Koh Samui’s most popular tourist attractions-the Mummified Monk; a mummified body of the Thai monk Luong Pordaeng, who died sitting in a meditative position. The body has been displayed in a glass case and holds a great amount of significance for the locals. They see it is an act of reverence and reflection and an acceptance of the natural order of things. Your tour guide will tell you more about the history and beliefs associated with this sight. You will then make your way to the extremely famous Na Muang Waterfall to cool off after exploring the city in the heat. The waterfall is one of the most scenic ones in Koh Samui and is ideal for unwinding and relaxing. The path leading to the waterfall is lined by stalls that sell snacks and souvenirs. Pick up something to munch on, or a souvenir to take back home to your loved ones. The tour will be wrapped up with a visit to Koh Samui’s capital town- the Nathon Town, to give you a true taste of the traditional Thai life. Located along Koh Samui’s West coast, the town allows you to observe the interesting Thai culture as you watch people get on with their daily lives. Walk down the street, try striking a conversation with the locals (your guide can help translate) and make sure to catch a glimpse of the glorious sunset. After this amazing experience of touring around the city’s main landmarks and familiarizing yourself with the culture and history, you will be dropped back to the Koh Samui port from where you can make your way back to your hotel.
