Located on the top of a mountain, Wat Tham Sua is a Buddhist temple that takes 1,237 stairs to reach. The place is sacred, and people come all the way up to make offerings and get blessings of Lord Buddha. You will find several monks meditating inside the temple. The location is serene with beautiful views from the top overlooking the whole island. In ancient times when saints used to meditate inside these caves, they saw tigers roaming around, thus the name Tiger Cave Temple. A poised atmosphere where monks meditate and pray, the premises holds a powerful soothing vibe. On your way to the temple, you'll find souvenir stalls shopping counters where you can buy Thai jewelry and even create your own amulet. Though it's not easy to climb that many stairs which are mostly steep but once you reach the top, the magnificent top views wouldn't want you to leave the place.
