Itinerary

Your exciting shopping tour will commence with a hotel pickup by an air-conditioned minivan. Your English-speaking guide will take you around some of the most popular spots to shop and help you find a bunch of souvenirs to take back home to your loved ones. You will cover everything ranging from clothing, crafts, jewelry and paintings at the quaint and high-end boutiques in the UNESCO-listed Colonial Zone, and along the pedestrian-only Conde Street.

Make sure to take some time out to marvel at the colonial ambiance as you explore stores in the city’s central historic neighborhood that dates back to the 15th century. The market is known to sell a wide array of locally made crafts under one roof, including jewelry, cigars, liqueurs, and Taino and ceramic art.

You will visit the Amber Museum to learn about its history and creation, its varieties and mining processes. Dominican amber is known for its transparency and fossil inclusions. Make sure to pick up one of their unique pieces of jewelry from the museum’s stylish boutique, that’s beautifully made by expert craftsmen.

You will then head to Visit Tabacalera La Matilde, a cigar factory that will give you an insight into how tobacco is processed and turned into cigars. Make a stop by the factory store and pick up a few cigars to take home.

Wrap up your shopping trip on Conde Street, that’s locally known as Calle El Conde, a pedestrian-only cobblestone street that allows you to freely browse through colorful artwork, larimar jewelry and other luxury items.

Once you have your shopping bags filled till the brim, you will be dropped back to your hotel.
