Located about three miles inland from the town of Falmouth in Jamaica, the Martha Brae River is a beautiful rafting site.


The Martha Brae River is an extremely popular tourist attraction in Jamaica. There are many tours that take visitors here for a fun-filled time outdoors. Enjoy an exhilarating experience as you board a Thirty-foot long bamboo raft, learn about “The Legend of Martha Brae” and enjoy a thrilling swim. The attraction has been host to a number of celebrities including HRH Queen Elizabeth II, heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis, Chuck Norris, Dionne Warwick, Spike Lee, former NBA star Patrick Ewing, Jane Seymour of “Doctor Quinn- Medicine Woman” fame, Kenny Rodgers, the late Johnny Cash and world 100-meter champion Usain Bolt.

The disembarkation area “Rafter’s Village” is popularly known as “Martha’s Rest” and encompasses six acres of verdant manicured lawns set on a natural horseshoe island. It houses a fully appointed recreational facility which includes picnic grounds, a bar, two souvenir shops, a swimming pool and restrooms.
