We didn’t think Dubai could get any more irresistible than it already is, but it seems that we were wrong. The city is set to welcome many new shopping malls, tourist attractions, luxury hotels, and theme restaurants this year. Let’s take a look at what’s new in Dubai in 2019.
Quranic Park: Spread across 60 hectares, the Quranic Park will offer visitors a glimpse into the culture and history of the Quran. It is meant to be an educational family attraction.
Novo Cinemas: Enjoy VIP cinema viewing in a futuristic ambience at Novo Cinemas at IMG World’s of Adventure. The cinema features personal butlers and cutting-edge Laser technology.
Mohammed Bin Rashid Library: Dubai will soon have a world-class library in Al Jaddaf. Mohammed Bin Rashid Library will resemble an open book on a lectern, and will consist of seven storeys.
Madame Tussauds: Bluewaters island, off the coast of JBR, will soon host the Dubai chapter of Madame Tussauds. Rumors are that the wax museum might hold replicas of Dubai’s sheikhs!
Cityland Mall: If you thought that malls were all about materialism, think again. Cityland Mall will be inspired by nature, with copious greenery and floral touches.
Nakheel Mall: To be located at Palm Jumeirah, Nakheel Mall will feature a whopping 350 stores and a gorgeous roof plaza with many restaurants to choose from.
Festival Plaza: This major mall will open at Jebel Ali, and host the second IKEA store in Dubai. A sprawling food court, 120 stores, and 40 eateries will make up Festival Plaza.
Deira Night Souq: The world’s biggest night market will be opening shortly on the Deira Islands. Deira Night Souq will be open from sunset till after midnight.
Unwind Café: Dubai now has its very own board game-themed café! Come to Unwind Café to play over 500 games with friends and family, while also trying some refreshments.
Indya by Vineet: Michelin-starred chef Vineet Bhatia will helm this new restaurant at Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa. Apparently, it will serve up Indian street food with a twist.
MasterChef: Relive the excitement of the MasterChef TV show at this restaurant at Millennium Place Marina Hotel. You can challenge the chefs to prepare a ‘mystery box’ based on ingredients of your choice.
Dinner by Heston Bluementhal: Finally, citizens of the Middle East will be able to sample the treats fashioned by British chef Heston Bluementhal. The restaurant will be located at The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences.
